Jury Trial Adds Uncertainty to R.I. Pension Lawsuit
In an interview with the Bond Buyer, Jim Spiotto weighed in on the lawsuit by public-sector unions challenging Rhode Island's pension overhaul law. Judge Sarah Taft-Carter granted the state of Rhode Island's request for a jury trial in deciding the outcome of the 2011 law that reduced benefits for active participants in the Employees' Retirement System of Rhode Island.
